The Birth of "Say what you want"
InDuna's creation of "Say What You Want" has a pretty interesting story. The chorus of the song popped into his head during a big argument with his ex-girlfriend. He had to interrupt her to rush to the piano and start playing those catchy notes and the chorus, which became the core of the song. Don't worry, though; he did get back to the conversation later, now with a cool musical idea.
But here's the twist: even though he had this catchy chorus, he couldn't figure out how to start the song or add verses for about two years. It kind of sat there unfinished.
The breakthrough came when he moved to Auckland and teamed up with David from Nesian Mystik. Together, they worked on the song, and the missing verses finally clicked into place. They realised that adding some guitar was the missing ingredient, and David helped make it all come together and later on, InDuna joined forces with Jpec to fine-tune the song, getting it all set and ready for their upcoming project.
